What’s Legal

The Legal Guide for New Adults / PDF
is designed to help
youth understand the legal rights and responsibilities they
assume when they turn 18 and become adults. This document
is published by the Florida Bar.

Minimum Wage
Florida's minimum wage is $7.25 per hour, effective July
24, 2009. This is up from the $7.21 per hour minimum wage in January of 2009.

Veteran’s Services
Florida’s One-Stop Career Centers are staffed with a network
of professional Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) Specialists and Local Veterans Employment Representatives
(LVER) staff who are tasked to provide priority workforce
services to veteran customers.


Unemployment Services
Unemployment insurance provides temporary wage
replacement benefits to qualified individuals who are out of work through no fault of their own.
